It’s 3:05 in the afternoon and I can barely keep my eyeballs open. But you can’t nap when your newborn is staring up at you in your lap.. So here we sit! Trying to be a bit productive at least and share this beautiful intimate session with you all!
In Homes are where it’s at for me and are probably my favourite type of session to photograph. They are so personal and meaningful and whats more YOU then your own home! You might think oh it just our house, its nothing special, not tidy or picture worthy sometimes but that’s what makes it a home and makes your photos unique. I find it also helps gives clients a sense of calm and comfort when being photographed and is a place you can truly be yourself as a couple or family. I mean why not capture moments as you would normally spend them! What would a session like this look like for you in your everyday moments? Maybe cuddling on the couch or in bed, making breakfast or baking with your kids on the weekend, having a bubble bath? What would an in home look like for you?…
I spent the entire morning with Jess and Mark at their home. We originally had alternate plans for this session until I suggested the idea of an in home to Jess. She immediately took to the idea and I’m so glad she did. We made coffee, chit chatted about life and got cozy around their place that they did an amazing job at renovating. It was a good time and can’t wait for their wedding up north in 2019!
Why not remember the simple things, the everyday, because those are the photos you’ll be happy you have to look back on <3
