Family Session at The Evergreen Brickworks

category:

Taking family photos can be a joyful experience. I had the pleasure of capturing a fun session with fourth time repeat clients with their two young daughters at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto. The area is full of life and charm. It was the perfect backdrop for our little adventure together.

The girls were excited to explore. They ran through the trails, giggling and holding hands. I always encouraged the parents to relax and enjoy the time with their kids. The best photos often come when everyone forgets about the camera and can just have some fun together.

I suggested a little game in the tall grasses. We found colourful murals on the brick walls. They showed off their silly faces and playful poses. Mom and dad joined in, making funny faces and striking silly poses while I let one of the girls direct them and snap some of their own shots on my camera! She loved it and they turned out to be my favourite shots from the session. Everyone was relaxed and happy.

By the end of the session, we had a mix of playful and heartfelt photos. Just pure fun and connection. Evergreen Brick Works offered a beautiful place for exploration, laughter and I always enjoy doing sessions there. Lots of trails, ponds, grass areas, forest areas and every time can look different when shooting there, which is great for a variety of settings and shots.

When families come together in a setting like this, magic happens. The best photographs capture these simple moments of joy. I hope this family will look back at these images and remember the fun they had together. If you are looking for a similar style of session please contact me HERE to book! I cant wait to hear from you.

I approach my work the way I approach life: with curiosity, intention, and an appreciation for the beauty in the in-between. My lens is drawn to quiet gestures, the weight of a glance, the way light and shadow tell their own story. Each frame is a reflection—not just of what’s in front of me, but of the places I’ve been, and the way I’ve learned to see.

When I'm not photographing weddings, I'm likely spending time with my family, planning my next trip, or rewatching a favourite film with my wiener dog nearby.

I am a mom of three, based north of Toronto, Canada and have carried some kind of camera in my hands since I can remember.
Creating is all I have ever loved to do.

My photos are all about feeling caught in the moment with a hint of editorial. I'm inspired by analog formats, messy details and unfiltered moments. Photography is never just about images—it is about preservation. A way to hold onto fleeting moments, to see and be seen. Memories of loved ones. What started as a quiet fascination became second nature, almost like learning a new language.

Editorial, documentary, intuitive art for the moments you’ll feel

forever.
